Claudia Schiffer Makeup | Hit Or Miss?

Claudia Schiffer Makeup | Hit Or Miss?

If you haven't yet heard; original 90's supermodel and outright Bardot babe, Claudia Schiffer, has dreamed up a brand new beauty line, and oh boy does it look gorgeous. In fact, as soon as I heard about the range, and spotted the beautiful soft pink and gold packaging, the Instagram post notifications were switched on and I eagerly awaited the launch date (hey I never claimed to be cool okay). Fast forward almost a month and I've gotten a fair bit of use out of the trio of products that I selected, so it was only fair that I sat down to share my thoughts!

You can't deny that Claudia has truly excelled with the packaging. It's not overly fussy but the baby pink and gold accents speak for themselves, as well as the little cloud detail etched onto the caps and unique droplet design on the lipsticks which make for cute little touches.

I decided to try the Illuminating Primer as I've really been loving glowy bases underneath my foundation recently. It's a shimmering champagne shade at first but once blended into the skin it looks almost undetectable, yet adds a boost of radiance. It creates a nice base for foundation to sit upon and meshes beautifully together. I can't say that it improves the longevity of my makeup but it doesn't claim to do that anyway. I'll admit, it's not quite as intense as my favourite Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow which is like an actual burst of sunshine, but it's just enough to brighten and enhance the complexion for a natural effect.

I also chose one of the blushers in the shade  Cherry Blossom and I just have major heart eyes for the pretty compact! The shade is a gorgeous pink which gives a lovely, fresh rosey look, perfect for Spring time even though I've been wearing it lots during Autumn. The formula is definitely up there with one of the better blushes I've tried, it's velvety smooth and glides on evenly without any patches. It's richly pigmented so you have to apply with a light hand, but it does blend out with ease. I'd like to take over my makeup storage with a whole collection of these please and thanks!

The last item I picked was the Eye Brightening Powder, which consists of a loose powder in a cute little pot with a pink lid. I always set my under-eye concealer with my old faithful Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder, so I was interested to see how it compared. This one is a loose, micro-fine powder which has been designed specifically for the delicate under-eye area. It's certainly a light powder which doesn't settle into fine lines or accentuate pores or cause any dryness. Although I don't find it quite as brightening as the Laura Mercier powder, it does create a lovely soft focus effect with a natural radiance and my concealer doesn't budge or crease during the day.

On the whole I'm super impressed with this range, the packaging is gorgeous and the products themselves are lovely, so it's most definitely a hit from me. The lipsticks and eye shadow quads are next on the wishlist!

What do you think of Claudia Schiffer Makeup?

xoxo

    1. Me too! There was little publicity about it which was probably why there was no hype! It deserves better to be honest! xo

  5. Oh, here it's marketed as part of the Artdeco line in the colab with Claudia Shiffer not as entirely new line. I got pretty confused the for a moment as I could swear I saw it before :)

    1. Yes it's part of the Artdeco line, but there hasn't really been much marketing for it here that I know of! xo

  6. I'm obsessed with that gorgeous packaging - baby pink and gold, what more could us girls want!? The Eye Brightening Powder sounds great, especially if it doesn't crease because I get this issue with a lot of powders xo
