Searching for the ultimate dewy complexion? Then look no further as Ciate has (potentially) ended your quest with their new product aptly named: Dewy Stix*. What it is, is essentially a twist-up highlighting balm which gives your skin a gorgeous luminous glow, without any shimmer or glitter.

As you can see in my swatch, it definitely does give a lovely radiance and sheen, which would look amazing on minimal makeup days and perfect for those that are after a natural glow without any shimmer. The texture is quite waxy almost like a lip balm, which does apply quite smooth and glossy, but I can't help but feel like you could perhaps get the same effect by using an actual lip balm.. It does state that it's supposed to dry down, yet I found it stayed quite tacky on my skin and never fully dried. But that does mean it could make for an amazing base to intensify your powder highlight!

I kinda feel like the £22 price mark is a little steep for what it actually is, but then again it is quite a unique product. I do however think that the packaging is absolutely beautiful! The pale gold casing with dainty stars dotted over it is too pretty.

What do you think of the Ciate Dewy Stix?

xoxo

  1. I really like the packaging as well and the swatch is gorgeous: I've been on the hunt for that kind of minimal and fair skin friendly illuminator for such a long time and I might have found it here! Lovely review :)

  5. This looks really natural! I think RMS has a similar product but it isn't in a stick form.

    1. Aww thank you hun! Hmm I do have to agree, I'm so fortunate and grateful to have received it from PR but I'm not sure I would've paid £22 for it xo

  9. It's so pretty! I love this sort of packaging, like the CT Beach Sticks and Rosie for Autograph highlighter.

It's a shame about the tackiness because the concept would be so good for relaxed back makeup days.

    I love your photos!
