MAC Lipstick Swatch on Pale Skin | Snob
Wearing Snob

Okay, hold up, let's take a moment to just forget how completely, utterly, devastatingly late I am to the Snob and Saint Germain party. I feel like everybody loved these two MAC lipstick shades waay back in the day and I mean, for a girl who often professes her love for the colour pink you're probably astonished I didn't own these two shades sooner.

I'm obsessed with wearing nude pink lipstick shades as my staples for everyday, and my go-to lip combo is always Bobbi Brown Ballet Pink lip liner (which I wear under pretty much everything!) with MAC Creme Cup. As much as I love this duo, I felt like I wanted something more ~pink~ in my collection, a lipstick similar to YSL #7 Lingerie Pink, which is the prettiest pale pastel pink colour (alliteration come at me), but I find the formula a little too creamy so it's not very long lasting. So obviously I headed to the mothership; MAC and picked out two of the most well known girly pink shades, Snob and Saint Germain.

Snob is a gorgeous blush pink colour, which I feel like I can just about pull off as an everyday shade with my pale skintone, as the more tanned you are, the brighter and lighter these lipsticks will look. It's just what I was looking for as a step up from Creme Cup, and adds a nice pop of pastel pink to my makeup. This one is a Satin formula which I find applies really opaque, quite creamy and lasts very well without being drying.

Saint Germain is basically that scary barbie pink shade which used to terrify me whenever I saw it in the MAC store years ago, especially as it is an Amplified finish so it's really pigmented and opaque, plus I was a total advocate for being in the nude lipstick safe zone. Saint Germain is a vibrant bubblegum pink colour and is more cool-toned and almost lilac, compared to Snob. Again the more tanned you are, the more vibrant and barbie-esque it will look, even on my fair skin it does still look quite bright and pastel pink, although I think it would look amazing on dark skin. The trick to making this one more wearable is to pair it with a darker lip liner (my Bobbi Brown one works fine), and I've also worn it with a little bit of Creme Cup over the top to tone it down a little. It looks so pretty and girly though and my boyfriend said he really liked this one on me *runs out to buy 20,000 more*.

Do you own Snob or Saint Germain? Which is your favourite?

xoxo
