So when Too Faced dropped the Chocolate Bon Bons palette, aka. the girliest baby pink eyeshadow palette, with actual heart shaped shadows (!!!), I of course convinced myself that I needed it. It's like a complete upgrade to the cute kids makeup you'd get as a child (but far superior, nobody's got time for crappy sponge applicators and zero pigment) and I'm so not ashamed to admit that I bloody love it.
Chocolate Bon Bons contains 16 eyeshadows, and the quality is just what I'd expect from Too Faced. They are buttery soft, blend like a dream and there's not one shade that isn't super pigmented. There can be a little fallout with a few of the more shimmery colours, but nothing too dramatic and it's to be expected when you have shadows that are packed full of pigment.
At first I was a little worried that it could be one of those products I buy simply for the pretty packaging and it ends up living a lonely, dusty life at the back of my makeup draws, but I'm so surprised at how much I love the colours and how wearable the majority are. The beautiful shade range contains your everyday brown toned shades, as well as wearable pretty pink toned colours, warmer golden shades as well as a few more quirky, vibrant shades. Some of the shades are so unique to the palette like Cafe Au Lait and Molasses Chip which are just gorgeous! I was also pleased to see a diverse mix of both mattes and shimmers which makes it so easy to create so many different looks. It's literally perfect.
The shadows are infused with real cocoa powder so every time I open the palette, an invisible cloud of chocolatey yumminess drifts out. It's not exactly essential, but is such a cute feature and it smells heavenly!
See below for swatches and breakdown of each shade!
A creamy eggshell white, perfect for brow bone highlight. Also looks amazing all over the lid with Mocha and Almond Truffle in the crease to contour, and winged liner.
Cashew Chew | Matte
A beige shade with soft pink undertone.
*Almond Truffle | Matte
Similar to Cashew Chew, this one is a deeper brown/beige with a pink undertone.
Sprinkles | Satin
A pale milkshake pink with slight golden shimmer.
Cotton Candy | Shimmer
A pastel pink with silver shimmer.
*Satin Sheets | Shimmer
A gorgeous champagne pink with golden shimmer.
Totally Fetch | Satin
A vibrant, hot pink with a unique blue, green reflex to it.
A soft pale grey, but has a little warmth to it.
Cafe Au Lait | Shimmer
A silvery gunmetal grey which has a beautiful golden shimmer, so unique!
*Mocha | Matte
A warm, mid-toned brown, perfect crease colour. My most used shade so far.
*Molasses Chip | Shimmer
A golden bronze which would look gorgeous on literally everyone! It isn't too orange so will even suit those with pale skin (aka. me).
*Bordeaux | Matte
A deep maroon toned brown, lovely for darkening the crease colour.
Malted | Matte
A cooler toned brown.
Dark Truffle | Satin
A dark chocolate brown with slight flecks of golden shimmer.
Earl Grey | Shimmer
A grungy teal green with silver shimmer.
Blackcurrant | Shimmer
A plum toned purple shade which looks a lot scarier in the palette than it actually is! Blackcurrant, Earl Grey and Totally Fetch actually look really nice blended underneath the lower lash line for a pop of colour!
I'm in eyeshadow heaven!
