Blush Pink Beauty Buys

Blush Pink Beauty Buys

It won't come as any major shock to anyone that I've been a bit spendy once again, and neither will anyone be particularly surprised that the majority of it has a glaringly obvious blush pink colour theme! Is there a rehab for people who can't resist buying cute things all the damn time? 'Cos I need to go.

Boux Avenue | Sleep Mask, Rose Petals, Powdered Tissues
Boux Avenue | Sleep Mask, Scented Rose Petals & Powdered Tissues

I found this gorgeous Sleep Mask whilst browsing the Boux Avenue website a couple of days ago and had to buy it. It's a gorgeous satin fabric in a soft pink shade with delicate ruffles and a silky ribbon, aka. the definition of adorable! I'm one of the people that just find it near impossible to make an online order with only one item, so obviously I had to add some more things to my basket didn't I (gotta make sure I'm getting the delivery money's worth ha). I got some Scented Rose Petals that are meant to be scattered across your bath water, but I might just store them in my underwear drawer. I also bought some little Powdered Tissues which is essentially a little booklet of blot paper sheets. I love the Victoria's Secret stripy pink vibe to them!

H&M Makeup
H&M | Makeup

I decided it was about time I indulged and tried out some of the new makeup range from H&M. The cream, pink and gold packaging is just gorgeous! I bought three nail polishes, two lipsticks, a lip balm and two eyeshadows which I will review very soon once I've given them a good testing!

No 7 | Total Renewal Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator
No 7 | Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion Exfoliator

When it comes to face scrubs I like to go for the Micro-dermabrasion scrubs instead as they are a little more intense. I personally love it when a scrub feels a little harsh because it feels more like it's actually doing something and you end up with baby soft skin afterwards. I've been using a Boots Botanics one for over a year, it lasted ages because I don't need to use it all the time, just every so often. I'd just finished it so I fancied trying a different version and this No 7 Total Renewal Exfoliator caught my eye as it had lot's of great reviews on the Boots website!

Urban Outfitters | Ohh Deer Pink Daily Journal
Urban Outfitters | Daily Journal

Lastly, I picked up this beautiful notepad from the brand Ohh Deer whilst I was in Urban Outfitters. It has a really lovely blush pink fabric casing with Daily Journal written in gold on the front, which I think looks quite classy and pretty. Inside it has an amazing layout with a to-do section, time-table, objectives and projects for each day as well as a little box for notes too. Hopefully it will come in handy to help me become a little more organised!

Lush Spring Picks | 2016

Lush Cosmetics | Easter & Spring Haul 2016

I promise I did try to stop myself from splurging on any of the Easter collection from Lush, I even went in store and came out with nothing which is unheard of for me! But clearly I didn't try quite hard enough as a late night shopping sesh on the Lush website totally got the better of me. There was too many cute seasonal items to pass up on! If like me, you love Lush, I'd definitely recommend that you check the website occasionally as they often have exclusives from the Lush Kitchen that can be difficult to track down in store, and some that are only available in the Oxford Street store.

Lush Cosmetics | Flowering Tea Bubble Bar
Flowering Tea | Reusable Bubble Bar
I'd seen this before in the Oxford Street store and regretted not buying it, but luckily Lush also released it as part of their Mothers Day collection so I had to pick it up. I love the shimmery pearl design and it has a lovely floral Jasmine scent. It also contains cute little blue petals that float out into your bath.

Lush Cosmetics | Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb
 Fluffy Egg | Bath Bomb
I just had to go over the top and buy three of the Fluffy Egg bath bombs (not that I needed them), I haven't tried them before but I just knew I would love them. They have that classic sweet candyfloss scent much like the Candy Mountain bubble bar and the Snow Fairy shower gel.

Lush Cosmetics | Bunch of Carrots Bubble Bar
Bunch of Carrots | Reusable Bubble Bar
I just really like all of the novelty items at Lush, so obviously I couldn't resist this little trio of 'carrots'. They actually have a lovely fresh, fruity scent of lemons and oranges, perfect for Spring! Apparently they turn your bath pink too, which I am all for.

Lush Cosmetics | Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb
 Rose Bombshell | Bath Bomb
I adore the beautiful rose pattern on this one and when it's popped into the bath, the outer shell breaks away to release lots of little rose petals into the tub! The scent is gorgeous as it smells candy sweet but isn't overpowering as the floral rose notes balance it out. The scent and design of this one is my favourite of the lot, I can't wait to try it out!

Lush Cosmetics | Which Came First? Bath Bomb
Which Came First? | Bath Bomb
I'm pretty sure this was part of last years Easter collection but was titled 'Immaculate Eggception', although I think it's still the exact same product. It has a sweet yet citrus scent which is quite subtle compared to a few of the others. What's fun with this one is that you can crack open the pink outer shell to reveal a cute baby chick bath bomb hiding inside! You can save it to use for 3 baths as the whole thing is quite giant, or you can go all out and use the whole bath bomb for an extra bubbly fragrant bath!

What's you favourite from Lush's Easter collection?

Tom Ford Nude Dip Eyeshadow Quad

Tom Ford Nude Dip Eyeshadow Quad Palette | Swatches
I can't quite believe I've had the beautiful Tom Ford Nude Dip Eyeshadow Quad for about eight months and have never dedicated a blog post to it and it's utter shimmery perfection.
I'd mentioned to my boyfriend before that Tom Ford was in my eyes the most luxurious makeup brand to exist amongst all of the other designer makeup heaven. He'd seen me swatch the eyeshadow quads in store and totally fan girl over Nude Dip, not that I thought he paid any attention. But as a graduation present he only went and splashed out on it for me, because he knew how much I loved it, (cute boyfriends do exist I promise). It just so happened to be the most sought after product, not to mention most unobtainable, on my wishlist that I never thought I'd ever have in my own beauty collection.
I'll admit, it's not one I use often, purely because it looks like pure velvet and I just want to keep it forever and ever, plus it's Tom Ford, duhh. I did take these photos when it was brand new and it definitely doesn't look like that now, bye bye pretty embossed TF's, I'll miss you dearly. I think it hurt my heart to first swatch it as much as it probably did for my boyfriend to fork out £64 for it, eek. It does come with a chic little velvet pouch to preserve the palette, which I do actually use because I would be pretty distraught if I ever scratched the sleek black and gold casing.
The shadows themselves are b-e-a-u-tiful, they're so smooth, pigmented and easy to blend, which is great but I wouldn't have expected any less considering the price. The shades are super shimmery and just all over gorgeous. There is a beautiful creamy highlight colour which has a pale gold hue to it, a pretty champagne pink, a cool beige toned brown and a deeper chocolatey maroon brown. Perfect neutral shades which when put together look lovely. The only thing it lacks is a matte shade, which isn't totally essential, but is useful if you like to use matte shades for a transition and to help the colours blend. Although I wouldn't know which shade to swap for a matte as they are all too pretty!
Have you tried any Tom Ford?

High End Beauty Wishlist

High End Beauty | Makeup Bag Contents
Current Makeup Bag Contents Mess!

High End Beauty | Makeup Bag Contents
Current Makeup Bag Contents Mess!

I am one of those people that has a literal wishlist of beauty products all scribbled down onto the notes section in my phone, just so I don't forget anything (God forbid!) Occasionally I tick a few things off, but it's more of a tick one off, add a billion things back on, kind of wishlist, although I definitely don't think I'm alone in that.

I've been browsing through the  Farfetch website, who are a luxury online fashion retailer, and they've just launched a shiny new high end beauty boutique on their site. That's not even the best part, as they've teamed up with none other than the mothership Space NK to do so, which is pretty damn exciting to say the least. It's given me tonnes more pretty products to cram onto my never ending wishlist, so I thought it was about time I made some of it into a lust worthy blog post!

The top two photos show a few (okay, a lot) of products in my current makeup bag, but obviously I'm a total beauty obsessor, who feels the need to try everything imaginable, and so these are a few things I'd love to add to it:

High End Beauty Wishlist | Farfetch

This creamy cleanser contains a delicate blend of Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Rosemary and Bergamot which helps to glide your makeup off whilst soothing dull and dehydrated skin for a radiant youthful complexion. It's sounds perfect and the packaging is gorgeous and luxurious.

The Cellularose range from By Terry is formulated with revolutionary Rose plant cells which are said to have significant anti-ageing and brightening properties. This Hydraradiance Eye Contour is a gel product that claims to be an anti-fatigue product which moisturises and smooths under eye bags and lightens dark circles. It has a metal applicator that I love in an eye cream as it's really refreshing and cooling on the eye area!

This mask is for firming and uplifting the skin and has a creamy balm-like texture with a delicate fresh cut rose scent. It promises to deeply repair and replenish the skin whilst nourishing, protecting and firming the epidermis of the skin too.

This brightening serum contains Natural Rose Cells and flower acids which enhance the skins radiance with a gentle exfoliation and gives a luminous complexion to banish dull and lacklustre skin. I am a sucker for anything rose scented and the pretty pink packaging just makes me need the whole range (although I don't think my purse would agree!)

These raved about blushers from Hourglass, combine a range of beautiful colours with the original Ambient Lighting Powders for extra depth and dimension. I already own Dim Infusion and the limited edition blush palette and they are some of my favourite blushes that I own. The product glides on so softly and gives your skin a lovely smoothed out effect. They also blend out perfectly and hold up all day. This shade Ethereal Glow is a lovely cool pink shade!

I've heard so many amazing things about this product over the years and it's one that I definitely need to try out. It's a tinted body cream that gives a bit of colour to pale legs but also moisturises dry skin, combats any imperfections like discolouration and scarring, and also evens out the skin tone. Sounds like a total miracle worker.

This little gem from Becca is one I've been dying to try recently. It's a full coverage cream corrector which camouflages dark circles and brightens the under eye area. I've got the Bobbi Brown Corrector which I think is a brilliant product, but I find it creases on me even when I set it with powder. This Becca version claims to not settle into any fine lines, so hopefully I would get on with it better!

I've never tried any high end shampoo or conditioner and Oribe is basically hair product royalty. As I have blonde hair I do like to use a purple shampoo to banish any brassy, yellow tones and my favourite for that is from Bleach London, but sometimes find it a bit drying. Oribe Bright Blonde is a violet shampoo that also claims to revitalize the hair!

This primer is said to have a weightless and fast absorbing formula that evens out imperfections, smoothes fine lines and reduces pore size whilst giving a youthful, plumped up effect. It sounds like the perfect base for your foundation and as I wear mattifying base products, I'm all for those primers that allow for a healthy radiant glow to infuse with the rest of my makeup.

Have you tried any of these?

February 2016 | Photo Diary

February 2016 | Photo Diary

Pick 'N' Mix Birthday Cake
Birthday Cake
It was my nephews 5th birthday, so obviously that gave me an excuse to bake a cake! I didn't really have a clue what I was going to make as I'd never made anything non-girly before (it still came out marginally girly oops), so I just decided to make a huge pick 'n' mix style cake as all kids love that right?! I had a bit of a mare as I had one failed attempt with the sponge at first and had to start again from scratch, but I ended up with three layers of sponge and stacked them together with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam. I then added two packs of chocolate fingers to the outsides and piped on some vanilla buttercream roses. I'd bought an absolute ton of different chocolates and biscuits and added bits of each for the decoration and somehow came up with this beast of a cake! The only downside is that I only got half a slice *crys*.

Starbucks Strawberry & Cream Frappucino
I popped into town quickly to grab a few things that I needed and it resulted in this...Victoria's Secret and Starbucks, I have no willpower! I got a Strawberry & Cream Frappucino because they are my favourite and I hadn't had one in about a year!

The Milk Bar Soap Company | Strawberry & Marshmallow Soap
Strawberry & Marshmallow Soap
I was kindly gifted this lovely scented bar of soap from  The Milk Bar Soap Company who make their luxury soaps with goats milk. I have the Strawberry & Marshamallow bar which is a pretty ombre pink colour and it smells gorgeous!

Valentine's Day Pink & Cream Roses
 Valentine's Roses
February saw my first Valentine's Day with my boyfriend, and although we didn't do presents he did surprise me with a lovely bouquet of roses in soft pink and cream shades, my favourite! I've never been given a card or flowers on Valentine's until now, can't you just tell I was a loser at school :-))))
Victoria's Secret Makeup Bag
Victoria's Secret Makeup Bag
So this is what I bought from my 'quick' shopping trip. A brand new Victoria's Secret store had just opened up where I live so of course I had to check it out. I didn't actually buy any clothing but I did pick up this cute makeup bag in the signature pink and white stripes! It actually fits so much more in it that I thought it would, and I use it for storing all of the beauty products that I use on a daily basis.

Blush Pink Teacup & Saucer Hot Chocolate
Blush Pink Teacup & Saucer
I bought a pretty teacup & saucer purely because of how cute it is and I don't even drink tea or coffee (#fail). So obviously I just had to have a miniature hot chocolate in it, not forgetting the marshmallows of course!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Pure Hollywood Liquid Lipstick
Anastasia Beverly Hills Pure Hollywood

Apologies for the rubbish quality of this last photo, I take all my pictures of myself with my front facing camera as you can tell straight up if the photo is going to make you look like Mama June or not. But unfortunately the quality of the camera sucks! Anyway I finally bought an Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in the popular shade Pure Hollywood and am wearing it in this photo. I really like the colour of it, but I hate to say that I do think there are better liquid lipstick formulas out there (Jeffree Star & Dose of Colors).

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette

So when Too Faced dropped the Chocolate Bon Bons palette, aka. the girliest baby pink eyeshadow palette, with actual heart shaped shadows (!!!), I of course convinced myself that I needed it. It's like a complete upgrade to the cute kids makeup you'd get as a child (but far superior, nobody's got time for crappy sponge applicators and zero pigment) and I'm so not ashamed to admit that I bloody love it.

Chocolate Bon Bons contains 16 eyeshadows, and the quality is just what I'd expect from Too Faced. They are buttery soft, blend like a dream and there's not one shade that isn't super pigmented. There can be a little fallout with a few of the more shimmery colours, but nothing too dramatic and it's to be expected when you have shadows that are packed full of pigment.

At first I was a little worried that it could be one of those products I buy simply for the pretty packaging and it ends up living a lonely, dusty life at the back of my makeup draws, but I'm so surprised at how much I love the colours and how wearable the majority are. The beautiful shade range contains your everyday brown toned shades, as well as wearable pretty pink toned colours, warmer golden shades as well as a few more quirky, vibrant shades. Some of the shades are so unique to the palette like Cafe Au Lait and Molasses Chip which are just gorgeous! I was also pleased to see a diverse mix of both mattes and shimmers which makes it so easy to create so many different looks. It's literally perfect.

The shadows are infused with real cocoa powder so every time I open the palette, an invisible cloud of chocolatey yumminess drifts out. It's not exactly essential, but is such a cute feature and it smells heavenly!

See below for swatches and breakdown of each shade!

I'm gonna attempt to describe each shade and categorize them into matte, shimmer and satin (not quite matte but not enough sparkle to be classed a shimmer). I'll also add an asterisk (*) to a few of my faves!

Swatches 3

I'm in eyeshadow heaven!
