February Favourites 2016 | Kylie Lip Kit, Kat Von D, Too Faced & More

February Favourites 2016
I haven't done a monthly favourites post in far too long and as there's been so many new things I've been loving recently, it was the perfect time to write one. I had to really reduce the gigantic pile of things I wanted feature for this post that I could easily have written a part 2!

February Favourites 2016 | Too Faced Mr Right Brush
Too Faced | Mr Right Brush
I only bought this brush nearing the end of February but it's shot straight to an instant favourite. I'd been dying to own it for a while but thought it was a product that was only available in the U.S, so once I saw it on the Debenhams website I just had to get it. The baby blue and gold tuxedo design is the cutest thing I've probably ever seen. The brush itself has a really universal shape which is good for lots of different uses like powder, blush, bronzer, hence the name; Mr Right. It's baby soft and is made with what Too Faced likes to call Teddy Bear Hair. Don't tell me that's not cute.

February Favourites 2016 | Kylie Jenner Liquid Lipstick Koko K
Kylie | Koko K Liquid Lipstick
I managed to get my hands on some of Kylie Jenner's new liquid lipsticks and I've been loving the shade Koko K which is a beautiful nude, brown toned pink shade. It dries down really quickly to the most amazing matte texture which feels really velvety and so comfortable to wear, and lasts forever on the lips. I also got Candy K, so I will probably write a more detailed post about them both soon!

February Favourites 2016 | Sara Happ Peony Lip Scrub
Sara Happ | Peony Lip Scrub
Did I need a new lip scrub? No. Was I suckered in by adorable packaging? Obvs. Even though I purchased this Sara Happ Lip Scrub on a whim, I've been so impressed with it and it's completely replaced my Bubblegum Lip Scrub from Lush that I've been faithful to for the past few years. It exfoliates really well and smoothes away any dry skin and it has all natural ingredients. It's got more of a paste consistency as opposed to just dry sugar, because it contains Jojoba and Grapeseed oils which leave your lips feeling silky soft like you've just used a lip balm. The Peony scent is floral yet sugary sweet at the same time and it tastes lovely. They also have lots of other flavours like Creme BruleeVanilla Bean and Brown Sugar to name a few, which sound amazing.

February Favourites 2016 | Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
Kat Von D | Tattoo Liner
I wear winged eyeliner pretty much every time I do my makeup, so I've tried my fair share of liquid liners, and none of them come close to the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. I'd been desperate to try it as I'd seen so many amazing reviews, but it's a brand that can be hard to get hold of in the UK. However, I bit the bullet made my first ever Sephora order and was finally able to try it out myself. It has the tiniest brush which makes it perfect for attaining 'wings to kill' type of sharpness and is the easiest liner I've ever used. What I look for most in a liquid liner though, is for it to last all day, as I can't stand when liners smudge during the day or disappear in the inner corner, and this one doesn't budge. It also seems to be lasting quite well and hasn't dried out so far.

February Favourites 2016 | Sixth Scent, Strawberry Shortcake & Chocolate Cupcake Candles
Sixth Scent | Strawberry Shortcake & Chocolate Cupcake Candles
My last favourite is in the form of the cutest candles from a small, independent brand called  Sixth Scent. I'm obsessed with the cupcake design which just looks adorable wherever you place it. I have Strawberry Shortcake and Chocolate Cupcake both of which smell incredible! They're really affordable too ranging from £5-£6, you can check them out  here. I've got my eye on Birthday Cake and Strawberry Frappuccino

What have you been loving throughout February?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Makeup Range | An Introduction

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Makeup Range | Rosie for Autograph
I don't think there's much that a beauty blogger loves more than a shiny new makeup range, especially when it comes from supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and is housed in gorgeous rose gold packaging! Rosie's line of products with Marks & Spencer just keeps on expanding, and her new beauty line has such a Charlotte Tilbury vibe to it. It's obviously at a much more affordable price to Charlotte Tilbury, which is basically luxury makeup at it's finest, but Rosie for Autograph is really comparable to a lot of high end, designer brands.

Rosie for Autograph | Lipsticks, Nude Mink & Camisole Blush
Lipstick | L-R: Nude Mink & Camisole Blush

Rosie for Autograph | Lipstick Swatches, Nude Mink & Camisole Blush
Swatches | Top-Bottom: Camisole Blush, Nude Mink | £14 each

My eyes lit up when I saw the range of beautiful lipsticks as there are so many lovely wearable neutral shades! I picked up the lightest of the bunch called Nude Mink which is a pale peachy nude colour with a warm tone to it so it won't wash me out. I also got Camisole Blush which is the prettiest classic neutral pink, that has got an ever so slight mauve undertone which makes it so unique and right on trend. These apply super creamy and feel lovely on the lips but give off more of a satin finish as opposed to a glossy one. They really remind me of the YSL Rouge Pur Couture formula!

Rosie for Autograph | Eyeshadow Quad, I Feel Like A Million Dollars
Eyeshadow Quad | I Feel Like A Million Dollars | £18

When I first had a peek at the collection online I was left a little underwhelmed by the eyeshadow palettes, but was so surprised once I'd seen them in store how lovely they really are! I Feel Like A Million Dollars is a gorgeous bronzey brown toned palette which just screams Charlottle Tilbury Dolce Vita. It has three gorgeous shimmery shades; a champagne highlight colour, a light gold, a bronze, and then a deep chocolatey brown semi-matte shade, which isn't as sparkly as the others but does still have a little shimmer to it. These shadows are so pigmented and buttery soft which is something that really surprised me! I definitely recommend that you check these quads out for yourself as you won't be disappointed.

Rosie for Autograph | Cream Eyeshadow Stick, Almond Eyes
Cream Eyeshadow Stick | Almond Eyes | £12.50

By Terry Ombre Blackstar dupe anyone?! Yep, as soon as I saw these Cream Eyeshadow Sticks as part of Rosie's line it was the first thing I knew I'd buy, as they bear such a striking resemblance to the By Terry versions. I bought the shade Almond Eyes which is a pretty shimmery beige champagne shade and goes perfectly with the eyeshadow quad I picked up. It does apply lovely and smooth but can be a little tricky to blend out, so I'd recommend not bothering with a brush and just using your finger to blend it out instead. I wouldn't say it's as good as the Ombre Blackstars but for the price it's worth a try.

Rosie for Autograph | Swatches, I Feel Like A Million Dollars & Almond Eyes
Eyeshadow Swatches | Top 4 Shades: IFLAMD, Bottom shade: Almond Eyes

I'm really impressed with the new makeup range, it's really good quality and I love the gorgeous coppery rose gold packaging, I think you really get what you pay for here.

What do you make of Rosie's new beauty range? Have you tried it?

MAC Pigments | Kitchmas

MAC Pigments | Vanilla

MAC Pigments Swatches | Kitchmas, Vanilla & Reflects Transparent Pink Glitter
Swatches Top-Bottom: Vanilla, Kitchmas, Reflects Transparent Pink

It's happened...I've finally dipped my toe into the pool of MAC Pigment prettiness! I've been meaning to post this for a while (hence the old blog name watermark..oops!), but I'd been waiting to purchase some MAC Fix + as I thought would help me get a better application of the pigments, so once some came back in stock online I nabbed it! Since then I've been experimenting lots with these three beauts and thought it was about time to share my thoughts!

Reflects Transparent Pink is basically unicorn tears in a bottle. It's the prettiest iridescent white that shimmers into pink and green in different lights and basically just looks magical. Although this one is a branded as glitter, I'd say it's very similar in texture to the pigments as it's more of a finely milled loose powder, than a glitter that you'd expect to contain chunky glitter particles.

Kitschmas is the prettiest lilac pink pigment which is has the most amazing shimmery frosty finish. It's so intense as you can tell from the swatch! Just thought I'd mention that all of the swatches are dry and I haven't used any fix + or water! I adore using my Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette with Kitchmas popped in the centre for a pretty, girly eyeshadow look!

Vanilla is a beautiful soft cream colour which has gorgeous pale gold shimmer running through it. I've been obsessed with popping this over the centre of the lid and inner corner with a smoked out chocolate brown shade in the crease and outer corner! Vanilla also looks stunning as a highlight too! Can I just bathe in Vanilla pigment please?!

I'd definitely recommend buying some Fix + to spray onto your brush when using these! It helps so much to reduce any fallout and intensifies the product which basically makes it looks extra shimmery and sparkly!

I 100% need more in my collection! Are there any shades you'd recommend?

Too Faced Newbies

Too Faced Newbies | Haul 2016
Last month I went a little Too Faced mad and had a small splurge on some new products. I've been meaning to write about these newbies for a while so they're not totally new to me any more but at least I can do mini reviews too!

Too Faced Haul 2016 | Sweetheart Blush, Candy Glow
Sweetheart Blush | Candy Glow
I think this was the first ever Too Faced product that I lusted after and I even though I have since bought lots from the brand, I still hadn't ticked this little guy off my wishlist. The blush itself is a mixture of three different pink shades, which when swirled together create a lovely flushed pink colour with a subtle sheen to it. I adore the cute heart shaped box it comes in.

Too Faced Haul 2016 | Hangover Primer
Hangover | Face Primer
I'd heard lots of lovely things about this primer and needed to try it for myself. It's infused with Coconut Water for radiant and hydrated skin, yet keeps your makeup looking fresh and flawless all day. I've got an oily skintype so I wear a lot of mattifying base products, so I thought this primer would be great to give my skin a bit of life underneath it all. I've been trying it for a little while now and I love it. It feels like a mixture between a moisturiser and a primer, it's smooth and cooling to apply yet leaves a slightly tacky base for your foundation which helps it to last longer, but also gives my skin a nice glow!

Too Faced Haul 2016 | Love Flush Blush, Baby Love
Love Flush Blush | Baby Love
I already own one of the Love Flush Blushes in the shade Justify My Love, and was really impressed with the quality and pigmentation of it. Plus, I totally needed another heart shaped compact in my life!! Baby Love is a pretty nude shade which a peachy tone to it and I've been loving it on days when I want a more understated blush colour.

Too Faced Haul 2016 | Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette

Too Faced Haul 2016 | Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette
Chocolate Bon Bons | Eyeshadow Palette
And the best for last is the dream palette, the Chocolate Bon Bons eyeshadow palette! The baby pink casing and heart shaped shadows completely sold it for me and I just had to. The shadows are also infused with actual Cocoa Powder which is amazing because the entire palette literally smells just like chocolate. I was actually really surprised at how beautiful and unique, yet still wearable, all of the shades are and I've loved experimenting!

Let me know if you'd like me to do a full review of any of these products!

By Terry Ombre Blackstars Spring 2016 Swatches | Nude Milky Way & Bubble Glow
Swatches Top-Bottom: Bubble Glow, Nude Milky Way

As soon as I'd heard about the new By Terry Ombre Blackstar shades for the Spring 2016 collection, I was instantly all over it. I already own Misty Rock and Frozen Quartz and had been super impressed with the formula as they have amazing pigmentation and last forever, even without primer.

The new colours are me all over, a candy pink shade and a creamy nude. Although I couldn't find a single thing about them online, no reviews, swatches or even any press articles, I blind bought and splurged on them anyway (with the help of £15 worth of Space NK points), and hoped I would love them as much as my previous two.

Bubble Glow is a pretty bubblegum pink shade with a rosy undertone and it contains fine pink glitter. Nude Milky Way is a nude cream colour which has a golden shimmer running through it. Both are beautiful shades but the shimmer in them is a little understated, especially when compared to Misty Rock and Frozen Quartz which are both packed full of twinkly prettiness. It's good though if you don't like anything too over the top or metallic looking.

The thing that totally let me down was the application. Now I'm not knocking Bubble Glow which is lovely and it applies pigmented and is easy to blend out. But Nude Milky Way is pretty damn terrible. It just applies a patchy mess, which is something I noticed from the very first swatch and I tried my best in the swatch photo to make it look somewhat presentable. I hoped that it would be okay once I'd used it properly, but it just applies patchy and blending it out just moves the product about and inevitably makes it look worse. I did try to take it back as the Ombre Blackstars aren't exactly purse friendly and I was pretty disappointed with the formula of it, especially compared to that of the others I own. Unfortunately there was nothing they could do.

If you're thinking about splurging on these new shades then I'd definitely say to go for Bubble Glow and take a miss on Nude Milky Way!

What do you think?

Dior Diorskin Nude Air | Glowing Gardens Highlighter, 001 Glowing Pink

So in my previous  Pretty Purchases post I'd said that when I saw the release of the Dior Glowing Gardens collection I basically died and went to makeup heaven. The gorgeous floral embossing over each product is literally so perfect and pretty and I just had to get at least one thing from the range!

I had my heart set on the Glowing Pink Highlighter and after a few times of being unsuccessful in nabbing it before it sold out, I finally managed to get my hands on one on the Escentual website, and with a 25% off code too, how lucky is that?!

The highlighter itself is just stunning. I love the floral print so much that it did pain my heart a little to swatch it and use it! I was worried that the actual powder itself might not be that great, sometimes limited edition collections can be a bit of let down as the brand know they're gonna sell out anyway, but I'm so impressed with the quality of this one. It's got lovely pigmentation and is a smooth shimmer with no chunky glitter in it. The colour is a gorgeous candlelit shade with a pink sheen to it and gives of a beautiful glow.

~Low key freaking out about it~

Valentine's Gift Guide

Valentine's Day Gift Guide

Me and my boyfriend aren't actually doing Valentine's presents, as we both don't really see the point and feel like it's all one big marketing scam. That being said, I couldn't help myself but to compile together a cute little collage, because I love creating these kind of posts!

1. Charbonnel et Walker |  Milk & Pink Marc de Champagne Truffles

2. White Rose Bouquet

5. River Island |  Blue Embroidered Jacard Cami &  Shorts

6. Chloe |  Love Story Perfume

7. Perrier Jouet |  Champagne

8. Kate Spade |  Brigette Bag in Pink Blush

February Pretty Purchases

Pretty Purchases
There's been lots of new things that I've wanted to try recently, so over the past couple of months I've had a little bit of a splurge and it's safe to say that me and my purse are probably not on the best of terms any more. Shopping rehab needed!

Dior Glowing Garden Highlight & By Terry Spring Ombre Blackstars
Dior | Glowing Gardens Highlighter
I literally died and went to makeup heaven when I saw pictures of the Dior Glowing Gardens Spring collection on the internet and instantly needed to get my hands on it once it was released. I managed to buy the Glowing Pink Highlighter which has the prettiest embossed flower print ever. The highlighters are really hard to get hold of because they kept selling out instantly so I was so happy to finally purchase one. I also sneakily bought two of them so if you're still on the lookout for it, head over to my  Depop because I have a brand new one for sale!

By Terry | Ombre Blackstars, Nude Milky Way & Bubble Glow
I had £15 worth of Space NK points to use up and I'd heard that By Terry had released two new shades of the amazing Ombre Blackstars for Spring. I already own two which I love so I thought it would be a worthwhile purchase. The new shades are Nude Milky Way and Bubble Glow and I will be reviewing them soon!

Fleur de Force | Fleur Loves Lashes
Fleur de Force | Fleur Loves, Lashes
I've found a new obsession with the Fleur Loves Lashes. I've never been a big false lash lover, I find them tricky to apply and irritating on my eye and sometimes look a bit OTT on me. I only ever used to wear individuals occasionally! The Fleur Loves Lashes though are a 3/4 length style and are so so easy to apply, they look natural but still fluttery and pretty and really compliment winged liner, which I wear everyday. They are super lightweight and I can barely feel them that I forget I'm even wearing them. I do find that they are out of stock quite often though so as soon as I noticed they were back I had to stock up, and with some miracle they were 3 for 2 as well!

Dose of Colors | Stone Liquid Matte Lipstick
Dose Of Colors | Stone Liquid Matte Lipstick
The mauve, nude brown lipstick shade has blown up this past year or so and one of the coveted shades is Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick in Stone. It's quite hard to get hold of in the UK, especially as it's such a popular shade but I managed to order it whilst it came back in stock briefly. I wasn't sure if it would suit me as I'm quite pale, but I absolutely love it! The colour is the perfect mauve nude with just the right amount of pink that it doesn't wash me out. I also think the formula is amazing, it applys pigmented and streak free, dries matte but is really comfortable to wear and lasts forever on the lips. I would definitely purchase more from this range.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector | Pearl, Pressed
Becca | Shimmering Skin Perfector, Pearl
As soon as I heard about Becca releasing the Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector in a pressed form I was excited, I already own Moonstone and it's one of my favourites and the formula is perfect. It took a while for it to come to the UK, it isn't even in Space NK yet, but I've been creeping on the Cult Beauty website waiting for it like the super cool person I am. I love light coloured highlighters, and Pearl is probably the lightest shade you can get, so it would be amazing for you if you are pretty pale! It's a gorgeous frosty, white pearl shade and looks beautiful on it's own or mixed with other highlighters. I really recommend the Becca highlighters, they are so pigmented and are so worth the money.

Yankee Candle | Fresh Cut Roses & Bunny Cake
Yankee Candles | Fresh Cut Roses & Bunny Cake
I obviously couldn't wait for Winter to be over (January and February are the worst months) and I ordered two Spring themed Yankee Candles that I had always wanted to try whilst I found them on offer. Fresh Cut Roses has a gorgeous rose scent that smells just like a florists, so perfect for Spring. I also got Bunny Cake because it was so cute I couldn't resist, and it smells so damn good like birthday cake and buttercream frosting but with a fresh element to it aswell.

What do you think?

January 2016 | Photo Diary

January 2016 | Photo Diary
I decided for the new year I would introduce a new post on my blog in the form of a monthly photo diary! As I feature lots of extra beauty photos and pretty pictures over on my  Instagram that don't get any love on my blog, so I thought I'd feature my most liked pictures of each month as a monthly round up!

Too Faced Makeup
Too Faced Newbies
A long overdue payday (seriously long, I'm talking three months overdue tskk) only meant one Too Faced goodies! They were literally the first thing I had a splurge on and I can't wait to show you properly what I bought in another blog post. The Chocolate Bon Bons palette is so dreamy though!

GHD Vintage Pink Platinum Stylers
GHD Vintage Pink Stylers
When I posted a picture of these gorgeous baby pink hair straighteners on Instagram, I wasn't quite aware of how much everyone else would love them! They're so pretty and I love the rose gold detailing on them.

Lush Unicorn HornLush Unicorn Horn
You can't deny that everyone loves a bit of Lush on Instagram..well most of the people I follow anyway! It seems that everyone goes mad for the release of their Valentines Unicorn Horn, after all it's rainbow striped and super pretty looking, regardless of what it even does to your bath water haha. I've just written a Lush Haul post if you missed it  here.

Mac Reflects Transparent Pink Glitter
Mac Reflects Transparent Pink Glitter
After Christmas me and my boyfriend spent a couple of days in London, so of course I dragged him into the Mac store in Covent Garden which I'm sure he was so thrilled about. I bought a couple of Pigments and a Reflects Glitter and they are too pretty! I have planned to do a full review of them all as well!

Strawberry Milkshake & Yankee Candle Cotton Candy
Strawberry Milkshake
Everytime I make a drink or snack that looks cute, it's only right that you take a photo right?! I mean it's just the done thing, whether it makes you cool or not is another question...

Makeup Flatlay
Makeup Flatlay
If you haven't Instagrammed a flatlay then you are probably definitely with the 0.00001% minority that hasn't! I pictured here some of my makeup collection that I think looks pretty. Lots of people ask where the highlighter with the heart print is from and it was an Etude House purchase!

Lush Haul 2016 | ft. Valentines Day Products

Lush Haul 2016 | Valentines Day Products
Before I start this post I just thought I'd update any of you that hadn't yet realised...that I've changed my blog name! I was previously blogging under Pretty Little Beauty Blog but I thought I'd give my blog a little revamp. I've changed my design, made myself a pretty new header and decided on a shorter but sweeter name Love, Catherine. Hope you like it!

Whenever Lush release their seasonal bath goodies, I can't resist but to buy a few things! I actually made my first ever online order at Lush recently, and I of course had to order a few of the Valentine's products, including everybody's beloved Unicorn Horn. I also added a few permanent items to my basket that are old faithfuls and some I'd never tried before, I always seem to go for all of the seasonal items and rarely purchase the permanent products so I decided to stop neglecting them and try a few things out!

Lush Haul | Valentines Day 2016 | Unicorn Horn

Lush Haul 2016 | Unicorn Horn & Think Pink
Unicorn Horn | Bubble Bar
So this time last year my Instagram feed was basically overloaded with rainbowy prettiness in the form of the Unicorn Horn, that I've never actually purchased until now. This year it's had a little revamp as they've done away with the twist of lilac and the cute stars and I can't help feeling like it's had a bit of a makeunder as opposed to a makeover. It has a calming Lavender scent with a sweet, fresh kick to it.

Think Pink | Bath Bomb

Think Pink is the cutest little bath bomb that fizzes away to leave lots of dainty pink confetti hearts in your bath. It has a sweet vanilla scent with a caramel undertone and it turns your bath water pastel pink.

Lush Haul 2016 | Lover Lamp & Creamy Candy
Lover Lamp | Bath Bomb
New in for Valentines, Lover Lamp contains Vanilla Bean and Brazilian Orange oil which gives it a comforting Vanilla scent with a refreshing Citrus vibe. It also has red Cocoa Butter hearts dotted around it which help to moisturise the skin. It turns bath water a milky white shade and contains lots of little red confetti hearts that slowly melt away.

Creamy Candy | Bubble Bar
I couldn't make a massive Lush order without repurchasing an old favourite, although it's had a minor appearance change to a deeper shade of pink! Creamy Candy has a super sweet candy floss scent and has a blend of Vanilla, Almond and Cocoa Butter. One of my all time favourites from Lush is Candy Mountain, which I think you can only get around Christmas time, but it smells almost identical! It gives off lots of fluffy pink bubbles and turns your water a candy pink colour.

Lush Haul 2016 | Sex Bomb & Twilight
Sex Bomb | Bath Bomb
Not part of their Seasonal Valentine's collection, but of course couldn't be left out is Sex Bomb! It contains a combination of Jasmine and Ylang Ylang which gives a sensual and sweet floral scent and turns bath water, you guessed it, pink! I think the rose in the centre releases out into little rose petals which gently float on top of your water.

Twilight | Bath Bomb
One that I feel like is a cult favourite, yet I've never tried it! Twlight is said to be designed to help you feel super relaxed and I love the scent of this one. It's a lovely blend of sweet yet slightly spicy with what I feel like is a Cinnamon undertone to it. It fizzes away as a blend of pastel pink, purple and blue which eventually turns the water to a deep, shimmery purple.

Lush Haul 2016 | Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds & Karma
Blue Skies & Fluffy White Clouds | Bubble Bar
Another oldie with a revamped design! This one is the only thing I've purchased that doesn't smell sweet in some way. It has a very fresh, earthy scent due to the Patchouli Oil and Frankincense which is designed to relax and comfort. I'm undecided if I like the scent or not but I guess I will find out when I use it. I do like that it turns your bath water into a sky blue shade and gives lots of white foam clouds aka. bubbles.

Karma | Bubble Bar
One of my all time favourite Lush scents is the Karma range! It has a gorgeous, refreshing Citrus scent, yet has a spicy aroma to it as well, a little bit like incense. It's so relaxing!

What are your favourite Lush products?
