I've had this little gem in my collection for a while now but I kept putting off blogging about it because I could never seem to take a good photo of it (Winter lighting just hates us all). This is probably the fourth times I've retaken these pictures because I'm so fussy that I actually annoy myself. My iPhone camera really does it no justice!
Anyway, The Mineralize Skinfinishes from Mac are all about faking that natural radiance with Soft & Gentle being one of the most raved about of them all and I can totally see why. It's a beautiful bronzey, champagne shade that gives you that ever coveted, healthy, sun-kissed glow. The shimmer is fairly intense but fortunately there are no tacky chunks of glitter in sight, so you can wipe that scary disco ball image from your mind. When it hits the light it gives you that glossed over, photoshopped angel skin kind of effect and I mean who doesn't want that, right?! It's just stunning and despite being warm toned it would suit a wide array of skin tones, although I do think it would look even prettier on me when I have a tan!
I like to apply it in a C-shape along the tops of my cheek bones and around above my brow bone, down the centre of my nose, cupids bow and if I want to go all out I'll even pop a tiny bit onto the centre of my chin and forehead and it just that gives the most gorgeous glowey highlight.
The consistency is velvety soft and it glides across the skin giving the illusion of smooth, perfected skin. It's really pigmented so a little goes a long way and I find I don't have to use much of it at all, I've had mine since last June and despite using it loads it's barely dented. So even though it's pricey at £23 I can tell it's going to last me years!
Have you tried Mac's Soft & Gentle?
