Uh oh, so it looks like I went a bit crazy in Mac...I must really like making myself poor! The emoji of the monkey covering it's eyes would fit in so well right about now haha. This post has actually been a long time coming but stupid me accidentally got it delivered to my uni address and it wasn't until almost a month later that I could go and collect it when I went down to hand my dissertation in. Karma for procrastinating from my uni work and buying far more than I can actually afford? Yup. Anyway, guilt aside, I'll show you what I bought...
Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade
I've wanted this for a while and I finally decided to take the plunge and buy it and I'm so glad I did as it's now my new favourite for everyday! It's such a gorgeous pearly highlight that goes so nice with my skintone and I love that you can use a little bit for a subtle effect or you can build it up for more of an intense look. How pretty is the the blue veining too!
Prep + Prime Highlighter in Light Boost
If you've been reading my blog a while you will probably already be familiar with this product as I've featured it more times than I should have (sorry, I can't help it I love it). It's the best at brightening tired under eye areas and gives you that beauty sleep illusion. I've been without it for a while now because I accidentally lost it on a night out, (don't worry I already gave myself a pat on the back for that fab move..) and I'm sooooo pleased to have it back you don't even know.
Eyeshadow in Sable
I've not bought any eyeshadows from Mac in about a year or so and I wanted a shade that I could use for a darker, smokey eye look. I went with Sable which is a lovely shimmery, chocolate bronze shade, I can't wait to try it out!
239 Eyeshadow Brush
I already use my trusty Mac 217 brush to blend my eyeshadow out with, but I really wanted a good eyeshadow brush to pack the product onto my lid with because currently I only use a cheap one. So I thought it was time for an upgrade and I bought the 239 brush, it better be good cos it cost enough!
Velvet Teddy Lipstick
So at first there wasn't actually any lipsticks that I was currently lusting after from Mac, but I told myself that if Velvet Teddy was in stock online then I'd purchase it (thinking it wouldn't be) but by some miracle it was! So I decided to cave and buy it and see what all this damn fuss is about!
So it appears this is where most of the damage happened...errr...not quite sure what came over me, I guess I was just really feeling the lip liners that day haha, and I swear they're not all the same shade!
I bought the super popular Whirl and Soar because they were actually in stock for once so I had to nab them before they sold out again.
I also got Subculture which is a repurchase as it's a favourite of mine and also Dervish which I've never heard anyone talk about but it looks like a really pretty shade, kind of a mixture between Whirl and Soar.
The last one I got was Stripdown which was on a bit of a whim but I wanted to try it out as an ombre lip with a nude lipstick in the centre. I have a feeling it's probably going to be too dark for me and I'll end up looking like a scary 90's Pamela Anderson but we shall see.
Eeeek, someone hide my card from me!
Do you own any of these products? If so I would love to know what you think of them!
