After I hit pan on the shade 'Sin' from my Urban Decay Naked palette I decided to give it a bit of a rest and this Too Faced palette couldn't be a cuter replacement. It's a little cooler toned than the Naked palette but just as pretty and it has really good pigmentation. My favourite shades are definitely 'Sugar Walls' and 'Satin Sheets' which is a little similar to Mac 'All That Glitters'.
There was a free sample of Benefit's shiny new mascara with Elle magazine this month, so of course I was gonna get it wasn't I! To be honest, I really kind of hate Benefit's most raved about mascara 'They're Real' so I wasn't expecting too much but I was actually left rather impressed. It seriously gives amazing length and separation and so far I've heard nothing but good things about it from other people too.
I managed to blag this little lipstick for free when I handed over some of my empty Mac items doing the 'back to mac' scheme. Patisserie is a lovely natural pink shade, and I'm not kidding when I say that it's pretty much the exact same shade as my lips but about ten times prettier! Definitely a 'my lips but better' shade!
I'm not usually one to talk about skincare that often on my blog because if I'm honest my skin really isn't that great as my face is no stranger to the odd spot or 100. The most annoying thing though is that the majority of what looks like blemishes on my skin, is actually mostly scarring from previous breakouts! I've read lots of good reviews for Kiehl's Midnight Recovery so I decided to pick it up when I had a £10 off Space N.K voucher and so far I've been loving it! In the morning my skin feels and looks a lot smoother and any scarring seems to be fading much quicker than usual. I'm pretty rubbish with a skincare routine but I'm gonna try to keep using this consistently in the hope that my skin decides to play nice again.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
Hands up if you're guilty of buying things only to leave them lying around forgotten about at the back of your drawer? Yep, that's me. Although to be fair I was a tiny bit terrified to use it as it was ridiculously expensive for such a tiny amount of product (£19 for the travel size...whaaat?!). However, I scouted it back out when I felt like my hair was looking a little flat and lacklustre and it just helps to add texture to the body of my hair and gives lots of volume at the roots! It's basically good hair in a bottle but it might bankrupt you in the process!
My little non-beauty extra this month is Banks. I came across her music on YouTube through the suggested videos on the sidebar (a rare occasion when they didn't actually lead me to the weird side of YouTube) and since then I've been hooked! A few of my favourite tracks are Goddess, Drowning & This is What it Feels Like.
What have you been loving throughout February?
