By Terry Ombre Blackstars in Misty Rock and Frozen Quartz

Top - Bottom: Misty Rock, Frozen Quartz

Top - Bottom: Misty Rock, Frozen Quartz
Left - Right: Misty Rock, Frozen Quartz
I've had the By Terry Ombre Blackstars in my makeup collection for a little while now and they are some of my favourite products that I own.

Misty Rock is a gorgeous, sparkly taupe shade and Frozen Quartz is a shimmery, frosty pink colour. Both look stunning on the lids and are really pretty on their own or used as a base.

They're really simple and quick to use and are also easy to blend. I just use one or two swipes across my lids and then blend the edges out using a Mac 217 brush.

The longevity of the product is what really makes them special. I swatched a few of them on my hand in Space NK and they literally would not budge when I tried to rub them off! They literally last all day, without primer might I add, which is a step I would never usually skip. They do come off quite easily though with a makeup remover or cleanser.

At a rather scary £28, these two beauties are extremely pricey but are the definition of luxury!

Do you have any of the Ombre Blackstars?

Christmas Gift Guide - For Her

1. Baublebar - Rose Gold Headphones $175 (£111)
This beautiful set of headphones may be rather pricey but not only are they rose gold, but also jewel embellished AND come with a pair of sparkly earrings! Need I say more?!

2. Topshop - Velvet Bra £20, Velvet High-Waisted Knickers £12
As soon as I spotted this pink velvet set it went straight onto this gift guide! Topshop never fail to bring out the most adorable underwear.

3. Thomas Sabo- Glam & Soul Ring £159
I spotted this ring on Instagram and fell in love with it (one can dream!) If the person you are buying for is quite the girl's girl then she will l.o.v.e this ring.

4. Topshop - Pom Pom Velvet Shoes £28
I tried these on in store a few days ago and thought that the little pom poms were so cute (I swear I'm older than five, I promise). I'm sure a lot of other girls will love these too!

5. Lauren Oliver - Delirium Book by  £5.99
I purchased this book last year and read it within days as it was so good! It's a story about a future where love is seen as a disease, and at the age of 18 you have to get the cure for it. It's part of a trilogy and I would definitely recommend it for book lovers.

6. YSL - Rouge Volupte Lipstick £25
One for the makeup addict, these lipsticks have an amazing formula and the packaging is stunning. I own No. 1 which is a lovely pinky nude.

7. Topshop - Teddy Robe £32
A dressing gown will be every girls best friend this winter and the cute little bear ears on this one just make it that much more of a necessity!

8. Jo Malone - Red Roses Perfume 30ml £40
This literally smells like red roses! I was lucky enough to get this for my 21st birthday and it's one of my favourite perfumes. I think all of the Jo Malone fragrances and candles are really high quality and make brilliant gifts.

9. Tom Ford - Eye Shadow Palette £63
As much as I'd love to own one of these myself, due to the rather eye-watering price, I don't. But if it's luxury you're looking for then these eyeshadow palettes will tick all of the boxes!

10. Olivia Burton - Floral Watch £65
I adore Olivia Burton watches and own the pink wonderland watch which I love. Unfortunately this floral one I had my eye on seems to be sold out everywhere but I think any of the designs they offer would make a lovely gift.

11. Topshop - Bra £20, Knickers £12
I couldn't decide whether I preferred this set or the velvet set so I just decided to put them both in!

12. River Island - Cream & Grey Tote Bag £45
River Island have brought out so many nice bags recently and I think this one is gorgeous and the colours are likely to match with almost every outfit!

Would you like to receive one of these gifts?

The Perfect Nude Lip - Kylie Jenner

Although some may call me boring, the majority of my lipstick collection happens to have a slight nude theme to it (oops). I love mixing lipsticks and seeing what looks nice together and my favourite nude combination recently has been Mac Subculture lip liner paired with Mac Flair For Finery lipstick! I think these two together create a lovely, warm, nude lip, and kind of a slightly lighter version of the Kylie Jenner lipstick colour everyone's been obsessing over!

Mac Subculture Lip Liner
I adore this liner as it matches well with the natural shade of my lips and I use it most days to line them. It's a pretty pink colour with a slight brown tone to it and when I fill my lips in completely with it, it goes into a darker nude shade. I love this liner so much that this is actually my second one!

Mac Flair for Finery Lipstick
This one is quite a pale nude pink shade and I only use this when combined with other lipsticks because on it's own it's way to pale for me! However it comes in handy once I've filled my lips in with the liner, I pop a bit of this in the centre and it really helps to bring some dimension to my lips, and makes them look much fuller. This lipstick is actually limited edition so I don't think it's available anymore (Sorry! But how beaut is the gold packaging?!). This step can be done with any similar nude lipstick though so don't worry too much that it's limited edition, just make sure it's paler than the other colour!

I think these both create such a nice nude shade and it's a great way to cheat a much fuller looking pout! What are your favourite nude lipsticks and combinations?

A Baublebar Wishlist

Obsessing over how stunning everything on Baublebar is at the moment, so I thought I'd make a little collage of all my favourites! It's a U.S brand but they do ship to the UK and other countries. How adorable is the bracelet set with the phases of the moon?! Oh if only I had the funds!!!

Mac Paint Pot Collection; Painterly, Vintage Selection, Let's Skate & Groundwork

Painterly

Vintage Selection

Let's Skate!

Groundwork

Top-Bottom: Painterly, Vintage Selection, Let's Skate! & Groundwork

I'm a big lover of cream eyeshadows and the Mac Paint Pots are some of my favourite that I own. I currently have a mini collection of four that I thought I'd share!

Painterly
My most used out of the bunch, for me it's a perfect base colour as it's neutral with a pink tone. I use it most days as it acts almost like a canvas on your lids, it hides any veins and discolouration and makes eyeshadows worn over the top of it last much longer!

Vintage Selection
I think this one is my favourite of them all, it's a slightly darkened, warm, shimmery champagne colour which looks so nice for a fairly natural day time look. It looks great on it own but I've also found that this one looks really pretty when paired with other shadows over the top like Urban Decay 'Sin' or Mac 'Naked Lunch'.

Let's Skate!
This one is a pale, strawberry milkshake pink with gold and pink shimmer in it. This is the only one that is a little tricky to apply and takes a little bit more care but once blended it looks lovely! The shimmer really shines through and it just reminds me of winter and icicles - very Elsa from Frozen!

Groundwork
Lastly, this one is a soft, brown shade that I love to use as a base whenever I want to create a warm, brown, smokey eye! It really intensifies any darker colours applied over the top and helps to create a smokey eye much quicker than if you were to start with just eye shadow. It looks quite matte in the pot but once on it has a slight sheen to it which also makes it look really pretty on its own for a more neutral look.

I just thought I'd mention that I also had 'Bare Study' in my collection too but I just didn't like it, I know it quite the cult favourite so mine is probably an unpopular opinion. All of the paint pots mentioned above have great staying power and this one just creased fairly quickly on me which was rather unimpressive. I felt like it didn't look half as beautiful and shimmery once on my eyes as it did in the pot, so I gave that one a miss!

Have you got any Mac Paint Pots? Which ones would you recommend?

Mac Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Dreaminess

So it seems I have an uncontrollable lipstick addiction! I see a lipstick, I like it, I generally buy it...especially when said lipstick is discounted, no-one will be stopping me! (One of the many reasons I like to avoid checking my bank balance).

I found this Mac Mineralize Rich lipstick in a CCO store so I got it for £14 when they are originally £20, quite the bargain if you ask me. The shade is called 'Dreaminess' and it really is just that! It's a gorgeous, soft, creamy pink with slight lilac undertones. For reference it's somewhat like Mac Snob but a little less in-your-face and much easier to pull off!

I'd never tried the Mineralize Rich range of lipsticks before but I am so impressed! This one is so comfortable to wear, it glides on easily giving great pigmentation whilst hydrating the lips as well. It feels similar to a cremesheen but creamier and it also has that lovely vanilla scent that all the other Mac lipsticks do!

What do you think of the Mineralize Rich lipsticks?

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Top-Bottom; Mugshot, Factory, Liar, Dust

As soon as I heard the rumors about the Naked 3 palette last year I was instantly super excited, the rose gold tones to it just looked so pretty that I just couldn't resist. I was lucky enough to receive it as a Christmas present last year and it's taken me this long to write about it that by now you've probably seen a gazillion other reviews so I'll keep this one short.

Unlike the previous palettes, the colours in this one are all pink hued, even the darker shades 'Darkside' and 'Blackheart' have really pretty pink tones to them. There's so many looks you can create with this which is what makes it so great but obviously if you don't like pink eyeshadows then it's probably a no go.

I'll admit I don't reach for it as much as I thought I would and I was a teeny bit disappointed with the colour payoff from a one or two shades, 'Dust' especially is quite glittery and has a bit of fall out. But the majority of the palette is beautiful and some of my favourite shades are 'Liar', 'Factory' and 'Mugshot' which look really pretty together.

I do think this is a gorgeous palette and the shades are very unique! Which is your favourite Naked palette?

Mac Rebel Lipstick

I've been after Mac's 'Rebel' lipstick for a while and as soon as autumn rolled around I decided I simply couldn't face the incoming cold and gloomy seasons without it.

It does look a rather scary shade of deep purple but don't let it put you off because on the lips it has a slightly pinky berry tone to it whilst still having a vampy purple edge to it.

It is a Satin finish which although it isn't completely matte it still stays put all day whilst feeling much smoother on the lips than a matte lipstick. I even ate with this on and it wore away only slightly in the centre of my lips to a pinker more raspberry tone, but I was so impressed with how well this lipstick stayed put.

At £15 this isn't the cheapest of lipsticks but I did come across a colour dupe for it which is an MUA lipstick in Shade 2 which is really similar in colour (not sure about the finish though). So if you're struggling about whether to be brave and purchase Rebel or not why not try the MUA lipstick first to test it out, it's only £1 so you can't really go wrong!

The Balm 'Mary-Lou Manizer' Highlighter

Being a total sucker for cute, kitschy packaging and shimmery, glowy highlighters I knew that I was going to love The Balm's 'Mary-Lou Manizer', (plus who doesn't love a good play on words?!)

It is a gorgeous golden champagne colour which instantly gives you amazing cheekbones. It's definitely on the more shimmery side of the highlighter spectrum, so if you prefer to go for something more subtle this one probably isn't for you. I've shown it swatched and slightly blended so you can tell how shimmery it is. That being said, it won't leave you looking like a disco-ball but much more glowing goddess, if you are not too heavy handed.

The product itself is lovely and velvety and it is seriously pigmented so be careful not to overdo it with this one. Personally I like apply this with my fingers rather than a brush as I find a brush picks up too much product.

I don't use this everyday as I do find that it can look a bit over the top. I would save this for nights out or for days when I'm wearing minimal makeup but want to give the illusion that I have super healthy, glowing skin! It also works really well as an eyeshadow or an inner corner highlight!

For anyone who has a slight love affair with highlighter, this one is a must for you! I think the pin up style packaging gets my vote!
